Mortality and Spiritual Freedom

Swedish philosopher Martin Hägglund’s book This Life: Secular Faith and Spiritual Freedom is accessibly written, and now in paperback.
In this talk, presented to the Bluegum Sangha and made available by The Tuwhiri Project, Winton Higgins explores some of the ways it might prompt us to refocus our practice by clarifying some of our underlying assumptions – ones we often file under ‘Let’s not go there’.
Some of the material in this talk will be used in Winton’s forthcoming book Bringing the Tradition Home, which is due out at the end of 2020.
