Join us for a meditation and dharma talk, to be presented tonight by Akāliko Bhikkhu at the Don Bank Museum. Bhante’s talk is titled Spiritual Bypassing: Darkening the Shadows.

The Buddha described the spiritual path as a journey from darkness to light, moving away from delusion towards knowledge. Spiritual bypassing is what happens when our journey takes a wrong turn without us knowing it. Sometimes, the thoughts and practices that we thought were helping us actually cause us to become more lost, taking us further into the darkness. What can we do to avoid this?
