In view of the situation surrounding COVID-19, Bluegum Sangha meetings remain postponed until further notice. Our regular venue, the Don Bank Museum, remains restricted in its capacity to host meetings as per their regulations. When meetings resume it will be advised on this site. No other options for participation are available.
While we regret this temporary loss, we remain dedicated in our support for each other. As a means of maintaining community and supporting practice, several friends of our sangha continue to offer group practice sessions online. Details for these opportunities are given below.
Sydney’s Lokanta Vihara: 717 Program
From Tuesday March 17 two of our sangha’s speakers, Bhante Sujato and Bhante Akāliko, will be live-streaming meditation and chanting from Lokanta Vihara to help people feel more connected and keep up their practice whilst staying at home. This will follow a 717 program: three sessions a day at 7am, 1pm and 7pm (Australian Eastern Daylight Time), each for 30 minutes.

Wellington’s One Mindful Breath: Regular Meditations
Wellington’s secular dharma community, One Mindful Breath, has kindly welcomed attendees of the Bluegum Sangha to take part in their online practice sessions. Details for these sessions are below.

Meeting online for reflective meditation twice a month for the past two years, these sessions will be taking place every Monday. People from outside Wellington, and indeed from outside New Zealand are most welcome.
After a brief welcome, we will meditate for twenty minutes. This will be followed by five to ten minutes for reflection and journalling. In the conversation that follows we will discuss what arises in our meditation sessions and how this relates to the dharma.

Following a greeting from a host, we will meditate for 30 to 40 minutes. What follows the meditation session will be different each time. The emphasis will be on daily life practice, with some dharma reflections and time for questions.
