Sue Butler
I have a 25 year background as a Clinical Psychologist working in trauma and in oncology - one might say, at the coal face of human suffering. The dharma has been an abiding source of solace and support both in my work and personally.
I am fascinated by the interface between early and traditional Buddhist thought, cognitive science, neuroscience, evolutionary psychology and philosophy and how this all fits within a secular contemplative practice.
I would like to share learnings, and musings about these topics within our Buddhist community and hopefully in the process, reciprocally tap into the existing collective wisdom of our Sangha.
I am indebted for their dharma teachings and profound inspiration to Ven Antonio Satta, Ven Robina Courtin (Tibetan Mahayana tradition) and Ven Phra Mana Viriyarampo (Thai Forest tradition).
